About David Paul Foster Co.
Fifty years of turning tired concrete into something to be proud of.
Fifty years, one trade, the same family firm.
David Paul Foster Company started resurfacing concrete in 1976. We began on tennis courts — stripping and preparing court surfaces across Southern California — and that work is still on our list today, alongside everything the trade has grown into since.
In fifty years we have never done anything else. No general contracting, no chasing whatever the market happened to be paying for that year. Concrete coating, resurfacing, staining and removal, done by our own crews, is the entire business.
That has produced two things worth knowing about us. The first is a long view of what actually lasts: we have been called back to look at our own work twenty and thirty years on, which is a kind of feedback most contractors never get. The second is people who stay — several of our crew have been with the company more than thirty years, and the people who prepare your slab are the people who finish it.

Preparation is the job.
Almost every failed coating we are called out to strip failed for the same reason: nobody opened the concrete up before coating it. Not the wrong product, not bad luck — inadequate preparation. Millions of square feet have made that lesson hard to miss.
So the grinding, the crack work and the cleaning are where our time and most of your money actually go. It is the least visible part of the job and the only part that decides whether it lasts. A coating is only ever as good as the surface underneath it.
The corollary is that we will tell you when concrete cannot be saved. It is rare — most slabs people are planning to replace need nothing more than their surface addressed — but when one has genuinely failed, saying so is more use to you than selling a finish that will fail along with it.
We are licensed in California under number 641729, and every job is backed by five years on material and one year on labor. We work from our yard on Grand Avenue in Wildomar across Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles counties, and nothing — removal, preparation or finish — is subcontracted.
