What we look for on the estimate is whether it has soaked deep enough to keep bleeding back, which is rare and which we would tell you about before you committed to anything.

It is when a hot tire bonds to a coating and lifts it off the floor when you pull out. It happens to coatings that never bonded properly in the first place — thin roll-on kits over sealed concrete are the usual culprits. A ground and properly bonded system does not do it.

Flake hides dust, tire marks and small imperfections in the slab, and it gives you grip underfoot, which is why most garages get it.
