Why David Paul Foster Co. in Riverside

Microtopping & Concrete Overlays in Riverside, done right.

Thin cementitious overlays that give old concrete a completely new surface, indoors or out. We work Riverside from the Mission Inn blocks and Wood Streets out to the groves along Victoria Avenue, with our own crew on every job — no subcontractors, no surprise charges, and one number to call from the first estimate to the finished concrete coating.

We apply microtopping & concrete overlays across Riverside and the surrounding area, including Jurupa Valley, Fontana, Rialto, Moreno Valley.

What's included

  • Applied directly over existing concrete — no demolition, no new slab
  • Knock-down texture, flagstone, tile, brick, cobblestone and more
  • Existing cracks worked into the pattern rather than left as a flaw
  • Dexite overlay system
  • Patios, pool decks, driveways, walkways and entries
  • Costs less than removing and repouring the slab
Microtopping & Concrete Overlays in Riverside

Built for Riverside homes.

Riverside is the oldest city we work in regularly and it shows in the concrete. The Wood Streets and the blocks around the Mission Inn carry genuinely historic slabs and porch work; the post-war tracts east of there carry another era again. Very little of it is young, and almost none of it needs replacing.

Riverside also gives us a lot of commercial work. The industrial stock along the freeway corridors brings warehouse floors, machine shops and the coating removal that goes with buildings which have changed hands several times and been coated by several different people.

Older concrete rewards restraint. On the historic Riverside blocks the right answer is usually to restore what is there — clean it, deal with the cracks, and color it in a way that suits the age of the house — rather than lay something modern over the top that fights the architecture.

Riverside FAQs

Microtopping & Concrete Overlays in Riverside, questions

How far back does your experience with Riverside concrete go?

We started in 1976 and have worked across Riverside County ever since. Fifty years in one region means we have generally seen how a given era of local concrete behaves before we quote on it.

What patterns can I have?

From a basic knock-down texture through to flagstone, tile, brick and cobblestone. We offer Dexite, an overlay system built for exactly this, and the design goes on directly over the existing concrete.

How long does it last?

It is a cementitious overlay bonded to a properly prepared slab, so its life comes down to the prep underneath it — which is the part of the job we have spent fifty years getting right.
