Why David Paul Foster Co. in Redlands

Industrial Floor Coatings in Redlands, done right.

Warehouse, plant and distribution floors that take forklift traffic and hold their safety markings. We work Redlands from the historic Smiley Park district out through the surviving orange groves, with our own crew on every job — no subcontractors, no surprise charges, and one number to call from the first estimate to the finished concrete coating.

We apply industrial floor coatings across Redlands and the surrounding area, including San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, Rialto, Riverside.

What's included

  • Chemical and impact resistance specified to the actual process on the floor
  • Phased and out-of-hours work to keep a facility running
  • Old coatings and mastic removed by our own crews first

Industrial Floor Coatings in Redlands

Built for Redlands homes.

Redlands has one of the best-preserved historic housing stocks in the region, and a lot of our work here is on concrete attached to houses of real architectural value. That changes the brief. On a Victorian or Craftsman property the concrete should look like it belongs to the house, not like it was done last spring.

Redlands also sits high enough at the eastern end of the valley to get a wider temperature range than the cities west of it, which is another reason to prepare cracks properly rather than hoping an overlay hides them.

Historic property work is mostly a discipline of restraint. Penetrating stains, honest concrete finishes and color that suits the period tend to be right; bright modern coatings and high gloss tend to be wrong, however well they are executed.

Redlands FAQs

Industrial Floor Coatings in Redlands, questions

Do you do steps and porches as well as flatwork?

Yes, and on older Redlands houses that is frequently the more important part of the job. Steps take the most wear and are the first thing anyone touches, so they are worth getting right.

Do you lay the safety striping as well?

Yes. Aisle markings, walkways, bay outlines and hazard striping go in as part of the floor rather than being painted on afterwards, which is why they last as long as the coating around them instead of wearing off within the year.

How do you handle a floor that has oil soaked into it?

Carefully, and honestly. Machine shop slabs can hold decades of oil. Mechanical removal and degreasing get most floors clean enough, but some areas keep bleeding and need a different approach or an accepted compromise. We would rather have that conversation at the estimate than watch a coating lift over the press pit six months later.
