Why David Paul Foster Co. in Redlands

Concrete Coating Removal in Redlands, done right.

Stripping failed or unwanted coatings back to sound concrete — for our own jobs, and for contractors without the equipment to do it properly. We work Redlands from the historic Smiley Park district out through the surviving orange groves, with our own crew on every job — no subcontractors, no surprise charges, and one number to call from the first estimate to the finished concrete coating.

We apply concrete coating removal across Redlands and the surrounding area, including San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, Rialto, Riverside.

Concrete Coating Removal in Redlands

Built for Redlands homes.

Redlands has one of the best-preserved historic housing stocks in the region, and a lot of our work here is on concrete attached to houses of real architectural value. That changes the brief. On a Victorian or Craftsman property the concrete should look like it belongs to the house, not like it was done last spring.

The concrete itself is often genuinely old — porches, steps, walkways and driveways that have been in place for the better part of a century. Cracking is common and normal at that age. Chased, cleaned and filled properly, it stays dealt with.

Redlands also sits high enough at the eastern end of the valley to get a wider temperature range than the cities west of it, which is another reason to prepare cracks properly rather than hoping an overlay hides them.

Redlands FAQs

Concrete Coating Removal in Redlands, questions

Our century-old walkway is cracked throughout. Can it be saved?

Usually yes. Cracking is normal on concrete of that age and is rarely structural failure. We chase the cracks out, clean and fill them, and finish over the top. Replacing historic flatwork is both expensive and often a genuine loss.

What if you do not know what the old coating is?

Common, especially on a building that has changed hands. We test a small area first to see how it comes off before committing to a method across the whole floor, because the wrong approach on an unknown coating wastes a day and sometimes damages the slab. That test is part of the estimate, not an extra.

Will the concrete underneath be usable when it is off?

Usually yes, and often better than people expect. The point of removal is to get back to sound concrete with a proper profile on it. If what we find underneath is not sound, you will hear that from us the day we find it rather than after something new has been laid over it.
