Interior Concrete Staining in San Diego, done right.
Stained and sealed interior slabs in copper, amber, brown, gray and terracotta — color in the concrete, not on it. We work San Diego from the older coastal neighborhoods inland to the canyon-edge developments, with our own crew on every job — no subcontractors, no surprise charges, and one number to call from the first estimate to the finished concrete coating.
We apply interior concrete staining across San Diego and the surrounding area, including Chula Vista, El Cajon, Mira Mesa, Escondido.
What's included
- Acid and water-based stains that react with or soak into the slab, not a film on top
- Copper, amber, brown, gray, terracotta and red tones, blended or single-color
- Scored tile, diamond and border patterns cut into the floor before staining
- Sealed to the gloss you want, from satin to a full reflection
- Living rooms, kitchens, hallways, entries, offices and clinics
- Old flooring, glue and coatings removed and the slab prepped by our own crews
Built for San Diego homes.
San Diego brings something none of our inland cities do: salt air. Coastal and near-coastal concrete lives with marine moisture and airborne salt, and both change what a coating has to cope with. Inland San Diego neighborhoods behave more like the valley cities we know well.
Further inland — Scripps Ranch, the eastern neighborhoods — the conditions ease back toward what we deal with every day, and the specification follows.
Marine air is the variable inland work does not have. Salt carried in on the air is corrosive, and persistent morning moisture from the marine layer means coastal slabs spend far more hours damp than an inland slab ever does. Coatings that would be perfectly happy in Wildomar can be under real pressure a mile from the water.

Interior Concrete Staining in San Diego, questions
Is moisture testing really necessary?
On a coastal slab, yes. Concrete that holds moisture will push a coating off from underneath no matter how well the surface was prepared, and there is no way to see that by looking. Testing first is far cheaper than recoating a failed floor.
What does a stained concrete floor look like?
Mottled and varied, like stone, rather than one flat color. Acid stains react with the minerals in your slab, so no two floors come out the same — that variation is the point. If you want a more even color we use a water-based stain instead.
Can you stain the slab under my existing flooring?
Usually, yes. We take up the carpet, tile or laminate, remove the glue and any old coating, and grind the slab so the stain takes evenly. What is under there decides the final look, so we check it before we quote.
