Epoxy Floor Coatings in San Bernardino

Built for San Bernardino homes.

San Bernardino carries some of the oldest housing stock in the Inland Empire and sits directly below the mountains, which gives it a wider temperature range than the valley floor cities south of it. Older concrete and bigger seasonal swings are the two things that shape the work here.

There is also a great deal of commercial and institutional work in San Bernardino: warehouse floors, school and municipal facilities, and courts. Court coating removal is where this company started, and this county keeps us in it.

The foothill neighborhoods sit high enough to see genuinely cold nights in winter against very hot summer days. Concrete moves with that range, and older concrete that has been moving through it for sixty or seventy years shows cracking that younger slabs elsewhere do not.

San Bernardino FAQs

Epoxy Floor Coatings in San Bernardino, questions

Do you do school and municipal court work here?

Yes. Court coating removal is the work this company started on in 1976, and we have stripped thousands of courts since. Schools, clubs and municipal facilities across San Bernardino County are regular clients, and we phase around seasons and school calendars.

Why does epoxy peel, and how do you stop it?

Epoxy peels for one reason nearly every time: it was put over concrete that was not opened up first. If the slab is sealed, dusty, oily or still holding moisture, the coating has nothing to grip and it lets go in sheets a year or two later. We grind every floor mechanically before a drop of product goes down. That step is most of the cost and all of the reason it lasts.

Can you go over the epoxy that is already on my floor?

We would rather not, and usually we will not. Coating over a failing coating buys you the same failure with a new color on it. Removal is a service in its own right for us — we do it for other contractors as well as on our own jobs — so taking the old system off is straightforward work rather than a reason to walk away.
